Bring a design of what you want or write your idea on paper. Make sure to include as much detail as possible. Designs are also available at the Studio for your reference. You may also request an original design drawn by the artist. Providing artwork and/or ideas for your tattoo to the artist prior to your appointment will decrease the preparation time once you arrive.
Wear clean clothes and have proper hygiene. Dress appropriately depending on the location of your tattoo. Do not wear an expensive shirt if your tattoo will be on your arm or back, etc. Tank tops are ideal for upper body tattoos. Shorts are best if your tattoo will be on your leg or thigh. Try to wear something that will leave the area to be tattooed easily exposed.
Eat something before you get to the shop, unless you get sick easily. If that is the case, then reward yourself by going out to eat afterwards. Cold drinks are available to purchase at the studio.
payment will be required before beginning the tattoo or piercing
After Care Instructions
The bandage applied at the studio should keep your tattoo covered completely for at least two hours. This keeps air-born bacteria and any other contaminant from invading your tattoo.
Gently wash the area with antibacterial soap and cool water. Be sure that you do not scrub your tattoo. Blot dry with a clean towel and air dry for ten minutes.
Apply a thin layer of H2 Ocean, Tattoo Goo or Bacitracin over the entire tattoo four times a day. Apply additional coatings as the tattoo becomes dry. This is an extremely important step to follow for the first few days of healing. After the tattoo heals, alcohol-free lotion can be used for dryness. Do not use rubbing alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide on your tattoo.
Keep your new tattoo covered with clean, loose clothing.
Do not expose yourself to salt water or chlorinated swimming pools until the tattoo has completely healed.
Do not soak the tattoo in a hot tub or bath during the healing process.
Avoid direct sunlight or tanning of any kind on the tattoo for 30 days.
Do not pick or scratch your tattoo. This will ruin your tattoo! Relieve the itch with a light slap to the irritated area.
If a pimple appears around the tattoo area, do not pop or squeeze it. This will scar or remove color from the tattoo. The pimple will go away on its own.
When your tattoo heals, be sure to use the best sun block you can find. This will help to keep the colors vibrant. Constant exposure to sunlight will fade your tattoo.
There is a full line of H2 Ocean, Tattoo Goo and Bacitracin available for purchase at the Studio for your tattoo care.
Enjoy all the attention you get from your new tattoo!! Please call the artist with any questions or concerns that you may have.
